Apollo Consoles

Tom R. Chambers put this video together re: making videos in the classroom based on Apollo themes ... documentary videos, still images, etc. The students were tasked to bring NASA videos and still images into video editing software to provide/create their interpretations. They were required to do research, and then work with "knowledge visualization" for the final product. The original video was made of the Apollo Mission Operations Control Room, JSC (1970) (NASA). Stills have been extracted to produce this new video as a creative interpretation.

The control room was restored to its Apollo-Era condition in 2019, and features the authentic consoles used to monitor nine Gemini missions, all Apollo Moon missions, and 21 space shuttle missions. This includes the Apollo 11 flight that first landed men on the moon, the Apollo 13 mission that famously experienced an in-flight emergency, and 40 other space missions.

Stills that comprise the video.
